It’s always a pleasant and welcomed idea whenever producers decide to release or preform acoustic versions of their massive festival surging songs. Surprisingly, Sander Van Doorn and Martin Garrix’s collaboration with big room house heavy weights DVBBS’s mega-single, Gold Skies has joined the ranks of electronic records turned into soothing acoustic works and its safe to say you may be taken back by what you hear. The acoustic rendition naturally begins with a piano solo accompanied by an acoustic guitar playing counter melody before vocalist Delora’s voice gracefully enters the pictures. All of ‘Gold Skies’ breathes in unison between Delora and her back up vocalist as it progresses through portions where the main motive of the song can clearly be heard bouncing back and forth pianist and guitar player. Whether you enjoy “Gold Skies” or not, it’s clear that this acoustic is an extremely well done re-imagining.
