The sub genre of tropical house has definitely gained a huge following in the U.S the past few months with its sleek and breezy take on the more traditional house music genres. And few people are putting out as good of tracks in this genre these days as Dutch producer Sam Feldt. Having just released his new mixtape Strandfeest (Dutch for “beach party”), an hourlong set of pure melodic gold, he’s already back with an enchanting new remix of the Sander van Doorn & Firebeatz collaborative effort Guitar Track. Taking on the progressive original, Feldt plays around with existing melodies and adds some of his own, most notably some energizing saxophone to transform what was once an big-room, electro banger into an upbeat, deep dance track that I cannot stop playing.
